Tea polyphenol
Tea polyphenol(TP),is a kind of
polyphenol mainly contains of tea catechin, contents
8%-20% in the tea leaves,it's an important chemical
with health care effect in Tea. Now, Tea polyphenol
have been widely applied in foods, cosmetics and
medicine industry.
TP showed excellent antioxidative effect on fat
and oil-containing foods, better than those of
BHA,BHT<VE etc. Furthermore, TP appears synergetic
effect with vitamin E, vitamine C and citric acid,
and etc. It can also improve the stability of
vitamine A, B2 and ß-carotene in foods,
inhibit the propagation of bacteria.
TP is used as a food additive, such
as chewing gum, toothpaste, deodorizing and eliminating
the halitosis, anticaries. It can prevent body's
lipid from oxidization. Moreover,TP can stabilize
the food color. TP is the health-care products.
So far, some new products (such as oral liquid,
capsule) had been sold in market.TP shows a good
prospect in cosmetics. The flavanols of the tea
polyphenol in wave-length 200-300nm appears absorbing
peak, TP are called the filter of the ultraviolet
rays. TP appears on anti-inflammation and itch.Tea
polyphenol supply with active -OH helping to eliminate
the excess free radicals.
